Emergency radiation for spinal cord compression from cancer

Malignant Spinal Cord Compression

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with spinal cord compression due to metastatic cancer.
  • Your spine is stable (not at risk of breaking) and your expected survival is more than 6 months.
  • You are able to care for yourself (Karnofsky score of 60 or above).
  • You have not had prior radiation or surgery for this specific spine area.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
