Studying facial muscle size, weakness, and swallowing after stroke

Who can take part

  • You have had a stroke that caused weakness on one side of your face (but not both sides).
  • You are able to understand simple instructions and communicate back.
  • You have not had facial paralysis before this stroke, and you do not have another brain disease like Parkinson's.
  • You do not have a jaw joint problem, a facial surgery or infection that could affect the tests.
  • You can read and write (literacy is needed).
