Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- You have been diagnosed with severe aplastic anemia, meaning your bone marrow makes too few blood cells.
- You have tried at least one round of standard treatment (including anti-thymocyte globulin or anti-lymphocyte globulin with another drug) and it did not work or stopped working within the last 6 months.
- You are able to take care of yourself and are up and about (ecog score 0-2).
- You do not have other causes of low blood counts, like certain bone marrow diseases or a history of stem cell or organ transplant.
- You do not have a history of severe heart, liver, lung, or kidney problems, active infections, or certain other conditions listed in the full criteria.
