Spine Curve and Forward Head Posture in Teens With Scoliosis

Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS)Forward Head Posture

This study looks at the relationship between the curve of your spine (Cobb's angle) and forward head posture in teens with scoliosis. If you join, you will have measurements taken from your X-rays and physical exam to see how these two issues are connected.

Who can take part

  • You are between 10 and 18 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (spine curve that started in adolescence).
  • You have a forward head posture, measured as an angle less than 48 degrees.
  • Your spine X-rays show a curve of more than 10 degrees (called Cobb angle).
  • You have not had any prior spine surgery.
