Who can take part
- You have a cough that has lasted for weeks or months and your doctor says it is unexplained or hard to treat.
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You do not currently smoke.
- If you have diabetes, it should be well-controlled (A1c of 7% or lower).
- You are not taking blood pressure/heart failure medicines called ACE inhibitors or ARBs (like lisinopril or losartan).
- Your breathing test (pulmonary function test) and chest X-ray taken within the past 6 months were normal.
