Who can take part

  • You have high-risk or very high-risk prostate cancer as defined by national guidelines.
  • At least 3 biopsy cores had 50% or more cancer cells, and your PSA is above 4.
  • You are scheduled to have your prostate removed within 3 to 14 days of joining.
  • You have not had and will not have radiation, hormone therapy, or other cancer treatments before surgery.
  • After surgery, your cancer must have spread outside the prostate, have a high Gleason score, and you must have undetectable PSA at 2 months.
  • You are generally healthy with good kidney, liver, and blood counts, and have no other active cancers or serious medical conditions.
