Q-REDUCE study for hip dislocation treatment

Who can take part

  • You have had a total or half-hip replacement before
  • You had a sudden wrong movement or twist in your hip while bending, sitting, or lying down that made it impossible to stand or walk
  • Your leg on the affected side looks misaligned (usually shorter or turned in/out)
  • You are not having repeat dislocations while already in the hospital
  • Your doctor does not think your airway will be hard to manage
  • You do not need extra breathing or heart monitoring as decided by the doctor
  • Your health status is not severe (ASA score 3 or less, meaning no major health problems)
  • Your weight is not too high (BMI 40 or lower)
  • You do not have active drug abuse
  • You are not allergic to or have a problem with the medicines Propofol or Esketamine
