Who can take part

  • You must be between 18 and 60 years old.
  • If you are healthy, you cannot have diabetes or prediabetes.
  • People with diabetes (either type) can join, but not those with prediabetes.
  • You cannot have high blood pressure, or take certain medications like vasodilators, steroids, haloperidol, or valproic acid.
  • You cannot have heart failure, severe kidney or liver problems, or swelling from sodium retention.
  • You must not have used tobacco in the last 6 months, and no active alcohol or drug abuse.
