  • Be between 18 and 50 years old
  • Have a BMI of 35 or higher (a measure of body size)
  • Have diabetes—either you take diabetes medicine or your fasting blood sugar is high
  • Be able to safely do moderate-intensity exercise based on a medical clearance
  • Be able to do the study in English
