Who can take part

  • You are 65 years or older.
  • You can walk at a normal pace without help from a walker or cane.
  • You weigh at least 110 pounds (50 kilograms).
  • You are willing to fast for 10 hours before study visits and avoid alcohol, cannabis, and exercise before those visits.
  • You do not have any serious health problems like heart failure, kidney disease, or active cancer.
  • You have not used a ketogenic diet or ketone supplements in the last 30 days.
