Who can take part
- You must have extensive-stage small cell lung cancer, which means the cancer has spread beyond one lung and the chest.
- You should be in good enough health to carry out your normal daily activities with little or no help (ECOG score 0 or 1).
- You must have at least one tumor that can be measured with a CT scan or MRI (not in the brain or spinal cord).
- You cannot have already received treatment for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer.
- You cannot have certain health issues, such as symptomatic brain metastases, serious lung or heart disease, active infections, autoimmune disorders, another cancer, or a condition called peripheral sensory neuropathy.
