Who can take part
- You have moderate to severe urinary symptoms (scored 8–35 on a standard test).
- Your prostate is between 40 and 80 cc (about the size of a small apple to a large lemon).
- Your urine flow is slow (less than 15 ml/s) or special tests show your bladder outlet is blocked.
- You have not had any prior surgery on your prostate or urethra.
- You do not have prostate or bladder cancer.
- You have not had radiation therapy to the pelvic area.
