Who can take part
- You are a man between 50 and 85 years old.
- Your prostate is small (30 mL or less) and you need surgery for your enlarged prostate symptoms.
- Your urinary symptoms are moderate to severe (score of 8 or higher on the IPSS questionnaire).
- Your peak urine flow rate is 15 mL per second or slower.
- Your bladder can hold at least 150 mL of urine.
- You haven't had a tube placed into your bladder through your belly (suprapubic cystostomy).
