Who can take part
- You are 70 years or older (or 60–69 and need help with daily tasks like dressing or walking)
- You have colorectal adenocarcinoma (a type of colon or rectal cancer) that has not spread to other parts of the body
- Your tumor is stage T2 or higher and/or has spread to nearby lymph nodes
- You cannot have surgery for your cancer or have chosen not to have it
- You have not had radiation therapy to the same area before, and you have not had chemotherapy or immunotherapy for this cancer
- You are willing and able to follow the study plan and sign a consent form
