Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You've had a spinal cord injury in the last 24 hours.
  • Your injury is mild to severe but not completely without movement or feeling below the injury level.
  • You need and can safely have spine surgery to realign and stabilize your back.
  • You cannot have a history of severe allergic reactions to contrast agents or certain chemicals (like PEG).
  • You cannot have a serious head injury, heart conditions, or a hole in your heart.
