Comparing two imaging methods for multiple myeloma

This trial compares two whole-body imaging scans (full-body MRI using DWI and a PET/CT scan) to see which does a better job detecting and staging active multiple myeloma. Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with active (symptomatic) multiple myeloma or doctors suspect you have it.
  • You have signed a consent form agreeing to take part.
  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • You do not have any other cancer now or within the past 5 years.
  • You can lie still on your back for about 30–45 minutes and do not have severe claustrophobia or metal implants that prevent an MRI.
