PET/CT scan test to find bone lesions in new myeloma

Who can take part

  • You have just been diagnosed with multiple myeloma (not MGUS, smoldering, or non-secretory myeloma)
  • You have not started treatment for myeloma yet
  • Your doctor says you could have (or may not be able to have) an autologous stem cell transplant using your own cells
  • Your health is fairly functional (ECOG 0–2) and you can stay still lying flat for about 30 minutes
  • You are 18–74 years old, and women can use effective birth control if needed
