Who can take part

  • You have cardiogenic shock (heart too weak to pump enough blood) with or without a temporary heart pump like ECMO or Impella®.
  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You understand French and can give consent (a family member or legal representative can provide consent if needed).
  • You do NOT have severe lung failure requiring a special lung bypass (VV-ECMO).
  • You do NOT have severe kidney disease (GFR under 30) or severe liver disease (Child-Pugh B or C).
  • You are not allergic to any of the study drugs: caffeine, midazolam, omeprazole, losartan, or dextromethorphan.
