- You are an athlete with a history of a lateral ankle sprain that happened more than 3 months ago
- You are between 19 and 30 years old
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 29.5
- You have had your ankle give way or feel unstable at least 2 times in the last 6 months
- You have not had ankle rehabilitation or injured your lower body (leg, hip, back) in the last 3 months
- You have no history of ankle fracture, surgery, or nerve problems
