Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You need a kidney biopsy that shows you have IgA nephropathy or primary membranous nephropathy.
  • Your urine must contain a certain amount of protein (at least 0.5g/gCr for IgA or >4g/24h for membranous).
  • Your kidney function (eGFR) should be between 20 and 60 mL/min for IgA nephropathy.
  • You cannot have had immune-suppressing drugs for your kidney disease in the last 3 months (or certain steroid doses).
  • You must have adequate liver, heart, and lung function as checked by standard tests.
