Who can take part

  • You have diabetes.
  • You have a diabetic foot ulcer that is grade 2, 3, or 4 (on a scale of 0–5) and has been present for more than 4 weeks.
  • You are able to complete a full year of follow-up visits.
  • You do not have severe COPD (GOLD stage IV), or have not had chemotherapy, immunosuppressive drugs, or systemic steroids in the last 3 months.
  • You do not have cancer that has spread, severe heart failure, recent ear or chest surgery, severe epilepsy, uncontrolled high fever, or are not pregnant.
