Who can take part

  • You had a lower-leg/leg amputation because of a long-term wound, bone infection, poor blood flow, or dead tissue
  • A specialist (an anesthesiologist or hyperbaric medicine doctor) says you’re medically fit for hyperbaric oxygen
  • You can cooperate with treatment and attend follow-up appointments
  • Your amputation surgery was recently—within 7 days after your final surgery
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have dementia
