Who can take part
- You are 65 years or older (geriatric patient).
- You are scheduled for open abdominal surgery under general anesthesia.
- Your overall health is classified as ASA I, II, or III (a standard anesthesia risk score).
- Your thinking and memory test (MoCA score) is 26 or higher before surgery.
- Your surgery is expected to last less than 4 hours.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or lower.
