This study looks at how your sleep-wake pattern (chronotype) relates to myofascial pain syndrome, a common cause of neck and back pain. You may join if you have had neck or back pain for at least 3 months and have been diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome.

  • You have had neck or back pain for at least 3 months
  • You have been diagnosed with myofascial pain syndrome by a doctor
  • No pinched nerve or spinal cord problem in your neck
  • No recent injections or physical therapy for this pain in the last 3 months
  • You have not had neck or shoulder surgery
  • You do not have a nerve or inflammatory disease, are not pregnant, and have no active cancer
