Stopping Surveillance for Low-Risk Barrett's Esophagus

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with Barrett's esophagus without any dysplasia (abnormal cells).
  • Your Barrett's segment is less than 5 cm (about 2 inches) long.
  • You are between 55 and 75 years old.
  • You have not had any low-grade dysplasia or indefinite for dysplasia in the last 2 years or on your most recent endoscopy.
  • No family history of esophageal or stomach cardia cancer in a parent, sibling, or child.
