Who can take part

  • You have an underbite (mandibular prognathism) that needs surgical correction.
  • You are between 18 and 50 years old.
  • You are willing to have surgery and follow-up appointments, and you understand and sign a consent form.
  • Your underbite cannot be fixed with braces alone.
  • You do not have any health condition that makes general anesthesia unsafe, such as severe heart or lung disease.
  • You do not have a bone disease or are currently receiving radiation therapy.
