- Age 18 to 40 years old
- Diagnosed with jaw or facial bone misalignment (dentofacial deformity) confirmed by two senior surgeons

- Mild or no crowding of front teeth, with teeth that can be properly aligned after surgery through orthodontics (braces)
- No serious health conditions like uncontrolled high blood pressure, diabetes, or low blood counts that would make surgery too risky
- No history of psychiatric disorders, body image disorder (body dysmorphic disorder), or unrealistic surgical expectations
