Who can take part
- You are admitted to the hospital for heart failure symptoms and need IV diuretics (water pills).
- Your heart's pumping strength (ejection fraction) is less than 40%.
- You have evidence of fluid buildup and high pressure in your heart, confirmed by blood tests or an ultrasound (echocardiogram).
- You are not in cardiogenic shock (very low blood pressure with organ damage) or using a temporary heart pump.
- You do not have severe kidney failure (eGFR below 20) or other serious illnesses like active infection or liver failure.
