Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is over 35 and you have type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or sleep apnea, OR your BMI is over 40 with or without those conditions.
- You are having your first sleeve gastrectomy (no prior weight loss surgery).
- You have not used any GLP-1 medicines (like Ozempic or Wegovy) before.
- You do not have a history of pancreatitis, certain thyroid cancers, eating disorders, or other serious health issues listed in the criteria.
