Who can take part

  • You were diagnosed with diabetes before age 25, or between 25 and 35 if you have two or more close relatives (like parents or siblings) who were diagnosed before age 45.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) at the time of diagnosis was less than 28 (meaning you were not overweight or obese).
  • You have never tested positive for certain diabetes-related antibodies (GAD, ICA, or IAA).
  • You do not have other hormone-related conditions such as thyroid disease, Cushing's syndrome, or acromegaly.
  • You have not taken corticosteroids or immunosuppressant drugs in the last 6 months, and you do not have any active cancer.
