Who can take part
- You are between the ages of 18 and 65.
- You have been diagnosed with depression (first episode or relapse).
- Your depression score on the HAMD-17 scale is 18 or higher (moderate to severe).
- You have not taken any antidepressants for at least 2 weeks (or 6 weeks for a medicine called fluoxetine/Prozac).
- You are willing to sign a consent form to participate.
- You do not have other major mental health conditions, severe physical illnesses, or a high risk of suicide.
