Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 64 years old.
  • You are currently in a psychiatric emergency room or inpatient unit and need medication for severe agitation.
  • You have a total score of at least 14 on a scale that measures agitation, with at least one symptom rated as severe.
  • You are able to give your consent before the emergency treatment starts.
  • You are not involuntarily admitted under the Danish Mental Health Act.
  • If you are a female and could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and use reliable birth control.
