Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old.
  • You have had a mild stroke (NIHSS score ≤ 3) or a high-risk mini-stroke (ABCD2 score ≥ 4).
  • Your symptoms started within the last 72 hours and you have already started taking Plavix (alone or with aspirin).
  • Your stroke was not caused by a heart problem like atrial fibrillation or by a blood clot from elsewhere in the body.
  • You do not have severe liver or kidney problems, a bleeding disorder, active ulcers, or a history of easy miscarriage.
