Who can take part

  • Age 18 or older
  • Had a mild stroke (NIH Stroke Scale score 5 or less) or a TIA with moderate to high risk (ABCD₂ score 4 or more)
  • Started taking clopidogrel and aspirin within 48 hours of symptoms starting
  • Had a blood test measuring platelet function 5-20 hours after taking those drugs
  • No bleeding conditions or recent major bleeding
  • Not taking other blood thinners or having conditions like atrial fibrillation that require them
