- You are a woman under 40 years old
- You have not had a period, or have had very irregular periods, for at least 4 months
- Your FSH blood levels were above 25 IU/L on two separate tests taken 4 weeks apart
- Ultrasound scans in the last 3 months showed no egg sacs developing in your ovaries
- You are willing to receive HCG injections and sign a consent form
