Who can take part
- You are 65 to 79 years old and considered unfit or frail, OR you are 80 or older at any fitness level.
- You have been diagnosed with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma or a related type that is stage 2 (bulky), 3, or 4.
- You have not received any prior chemotherapy or other systemic therapy for your lymphoma, except up to 100 mg of prednisone daily for up to 7 days.
- Your heart function is adequate, shown by an ejection fraction of 45% or higher.
- You have at least one measurable tumor that is at least 1.5 cm in a lymph node or 1.0 cm elsewhere.
- Your blood counts and organ function (kidney, liver) are within acceptable ranges.
- You do not have active central nervous system involvement by lymphoma or other serious medical conditions that would interfere with the study.
