Who can take part

  • You must be 50 years old or older.
  • You must have aplastic anemia, including severe or chronic forms.
  • You must not have had a previous stem cell or bone marrow transplant.
  • You must not have an active infection that is not controlled or serious organ problems (liver or kidneys).
  • You must not have active cancer (except minor skin cancers) or uncontrolled viral infections like HIV or hepatitis.
  • You must be able to understand and sign the consent form yourself or have a family member do it.
