  • You have severe aplastic anemia
  • You are between 40 and 60 years old
  • You weigh between 100 and 220 pounds (45–100 kg)
  • You are able to care for yourself (ECOG score 0–3 means you can manage daily activities with some help if needed)
  • Your heart, liver, and kidneys are working reasonably well (no major organ damage)
  • You have no active or serious infection
