Ultrasound to Predict Balloon Success for Fistula Maturation

End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)Chronic Kidney Disease Requiring Hemodialysis

Part of Genetic & congenital, Heart & circulation, Kidney & urinary, Women’s health & pregnancy clinical trials.

This study uses ultrasound to predict whether a balloon procedure can help a poorly growing dialysis fistula mature. If you have a fistula in your wrist or upper arm that isn't working well, this trial may help doctors choose the best treatment for you.

Comparing Two Fistula Creation Techniques for Dialysis

This study compares two surgical techniques for creating an arteriovenous fistula (AV fistula), a special connection between an artery and a vein in the arm that makes dialysis easier. If you need dialysis for advanced kidney disease, this trial aims to see which method works better and lasts longer.

Balloon types for fistula narrowing in dialysis patients

This trial compares two types of balloons used to open up narrowed areas in the blood vessels of dialysis patients. It aims to find which balloon works better for keeping the fistula working well.

Ultrasound implant to help dialysis fistula mature

This study tests whether a special ultrasound implant (EchoMark) helps a new dialysis fistula mature properly. It involves people with advanced kidney disease who are starting or already on dialysis and are having a fistula created in the upper arm.

Treating a blocked dialysis fistula with balloon therapy

This trial tests a balloon treatment for blocked blood vessels in the arm used for dialysis. It aims to improve blood flow so dialysis can work better.
