Tenecteplase after clot removal for severe stroke

Who can take part

  • You or your legal representative must sign a consent form
  • Before your stroke, you could live independently (able to do daily tasks alone)
  • Your stroke must be from a blockage in one of the large arteries in your brain (internal carotid or middle cerebral)
  • You had a clot-removal procedure (thrombectomy) that reopened the artery, and a brain scan shows a large zone of at-risk tissue
  • You must meet specific brain scan criteria showing a mismatch between damaged and salvageable brain tissue
  • You cannot have active bleeding, low platelets, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or other serious medical conditions
