Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older with severe peripheral artery disease (PAD) causing pain at rest or sores on your leg or foot.
- You have at least one narrowed or blocked artery below the knee, between 2.0 and 4.0 mm in diameter.
- That artery is at least 50% blocked.
- You do not have mild or moderate PAD (Rutherford categories 0–3).
- You are able to have an MRI (no metal implants or pacemaker, not claustrophobic).
- For this part of the study, the blockage must not be completely closed off (chronic total occlusion).
