  • You must have been part of one of two specific prior studies about TMJ issues.
  • Your initial diagnosis was disc displacement with reduction (DDwR) or without reduction (DDwoR).
  • You must be able to confirm that you understand and agree to take part.

Jaw Surgery With and Without Hyaluronic Acid Injection

This trial tests a minimally invasive jaw surgery (arthroscopy) to treat a specific jaw disc problem that hasn't improved with conservative treatments like physical therapy or mouth guards. Half of patients will also receive a hyaluronic acid injection, which may reduce inflammation and improve jaw function.
