It may be more comfortable than traditional braces while still correcting spine curves, and it aims to help people who already wear a brace and have a curve between 20 and 40 degrees.

Who can take part
- You are between 8 and 18 years old and have juvenile or adolescent idiopathic scoliosis (a type of scoliosis that starts in childhood or the teen years and is not caused by another condition)
- Your spinal curve, called the Cobb angle, is between 20 and 40 degrees on an X-ray
- You have a certain level of bone maturity (Risser score of 2 or higher) as seen on X-ray
- You currently wear a traditional scoliosis brace and use it at least 75% of the time your doctor prescribed
- You are an established patient of Align Clinic and Dr. Timothy Borden, and you speak English (the surveys and interviews are in English only)
- You are willing to participate in the study and, if you are a minor, a parent or guardian gives permission
