Who can take part

  • You have had a stroke that left you with weakness in the muscles that lift your foot up (front of shin).
  • You have mild or moderate muscle tightness (spasticity) in that leg — not severe.
  • You are between 40 and 55 years old.
  • Your body mass index (an estimate of body fat) is 30 or less.
  • You are medically stable (no active infections or serious heart issues like atrial fibrillation).
  • You do not have epilepsy, severe pain sensitivity problems, or a joint replacement in your leg.
