Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You are in generally good health
  • You have frozen shoulder (also called adhesive capsulitis), or you have no shoulder pain (for the placebo group)
  • You do not have any neurological diseases or injuries affecting your arms
  • You have not had shoulder surgery or have a shoulder prosthesis
  • You are not pregnant, do not have metal in your skull or jaw, and do not have epilepsy
