Who can take part
- You need to have thyroid cancer that has spread to lymph nodes in the side of your neck.
- You are scheduled for or have had surgery to remove these lymph nodes using robotic, endoscopic, or open techniques.
- Your cancer must not have spread to distant parts of your body.
- You have not had any previous neck surgery or radiation to the neck.
- A recent exam showed that your vocal cords move normally (no paralysis).
