Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 89 years old.
- You have pneumonia that started within the last 7 days, with chest X-ray changes.
- Your oxygen levels are low (PaO2/FiO2 ≤ 300).
- You are on oxygen therapy but not on a breathing machine.
- You do not have high carbon dioxide levels in your blood (PaCO2 below 50).
- You do not have a recent heart rate over 130 (unless a rhythm issue) or unstable blood pressure.
- You are not allergic to salbutamol and have not taken other inhaled salbutamol-like medications within the last 8 hours (or 24 hours for long-acting ones).
