Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 80 years old.
  • You have been diagnosed with a recent or quickly worsening neuromuscular disease such as Guillain-Barré syndrome or critical illness myopathy.
  • Your symptoms started between 15 and 30 days ago.
  • You have at least some leg muscle strength, enough to move your hip, knee, or ankle against gravity or with a little help.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you don't have other unstable medical conditions that would make it unsafe to participate.
