Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18 and 30.
- You have high LDL (bad) cholesterol (at least 3.4 mmol/L) and your triglycerides (another type of fat) are not too high (4.5 mmol/L or less).
- You have not taken any cholesterol-lowering medications (like statins) or certain weight-loss drugs for at least 4 weeks before starting.
- You are willing to follow a stable diet and exercise plan, take the study medication, and fill out diary cards.
- You do not have severe heart, liver, kidney, or muscle disease, and you are not pregnant or planning pregnancy.
