Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • Your LDL (bad) cholesterol must be at least 1.8 mmol/L if you have heart/vessel disease, or at least 2.6 mmol/L if you don't.
  • Your triglycerides (a type of fat) must be 4.5 mmol/L (400 mg/dL) or lower.
  • You must have been on the same cholesterol-lowering medication (like a statin) for at least 4 weeks before starting.
  • You cannot have had a recent heart attack, stroke, or serious heart failure, or have uncontrolled high blood pressure.
